MY LAST POST!

Hey guys, this is my last blog post of the year.

Just a few days before school ends i'll be heading to India for my cousins wedding. I can't wait for such a joyful trip. Im a bit sad that i'll miss christmas but can't wait for all the fun that i'll have in India.

So its been great sending you posts and hopefully next year i'll continue to post great stuff for you to read.

Dinosaur Day

Yesterday was Dino Day. It was a day all about dinosaurs. We had to create a documentary on a particular dinosaur. We were put into groups and made sets for our documentary. It was fun and fascinating, learning about our dinosaur Argentinosaurus. I was very proud of our wonderful set and think it all came together perfectly.

Fireworks on Christmas!!( Keep it real)

I believe that fireworks should be done on Christmas. First of all we are celebrating the guy who attempted to blow up the English parliament, i mean get real. Christmas on the other hand is celebrating the birthday of Jesus Christ, our lord and saviour. Fireworks are a celebration for happy times, i don't think a what could have been a disastrous explosion is a happy memory. So who wins Guy Fawkes or Jesus?

MY CAREER

When I'm older i would love to pursue a career in journalism. I say this because i have a hobby for writing reports and stories. In college, i think English, social media and maybe math would be great subjects to choose. I would help to develop skills for this job by practicing writing reports and doing little surveys.

Solomon islands

Throughout the holidays, i was in the solomon slands. i really enjoyed the trip, because of the wonderful beaches and its culture. The solomon islands has been a great experience and i cant wait for my next visit. Would you like to go to the solomon islands?

This is my latest art work!

It was a remaking of Henri Rousseau's wonderful self portrait.
I used many different techniques and materials, I even bought a fake moustache for a 3d effect.
instead of painting it I used my own speciality. "drawing".

This post is about my latest obsession. My latest obsession would have to be Vans shoes. I've always had craze for Converse and Nike shoes until Vans came out. Hey, do you guys like Vans too? If you do, comment on my post.

MEDIEVAL GRAVE YARD

Hey guys, while making our medieval minecraft village we had to build one or two parts of the village i built the graveyard. Here is a long-shot of  the grave yard

Medieval Times

So far in the Medieval Times unit ive learnt many fascinating things like the history of medieval times, ranks of workers (ect: king, bishop,peasant), the life of peasants,castles,farming and armor/weapons. Medieval Times has really been a great unit, in every way.The best part is making the medieval newspapers and the medieval minecraft village that we built. Its all been worth while and i cant wait to have the big battle on minecraft with rm11.SURELY WE WILL WIN!

Electives

For a couple of terms we've been doing electives. in it we learnt a variety of fun and educational activities. These are some electives we did: -Masterchef -creative computers -science -band -technology The two i picked to do were Masterchef and Creative computers. Creative computers was fun because we learnt many skills in movie making and Minecraft building.I also did Masterchef in which i learnt to not just cook but cooperate with others in my group.We made different dishes from other countries not just nz.I believe that electives was worth while because it gives us children to do something that we are passionate about and learn about it every Friday.

Mt Cook Technology

Over the past few weeks we have been travelling to Mt Cook school for technology. I learnt a lot in each unit and loved every bit. I started in Movie Making, learning loads of editing and filming skills. Then i moved on to Electronics which i found very fascinating,as we were creating circuit boards that lit up and made a beeping sound. Lastly i did wood work, in which we built wooden spoons using various machines and skills.I cant wait for more tech at Mt Cook and bet it will get even better in the further weeks.

TERM 2 GOALS UPDATE

Hey, guys this is my term 2goals update.

So i haven't achieved showing new little kids so i really need to try harder
I think i have achieved using more adjectives in my writing.
I got way better at long distance running!!!YAY
i haven't achieved getting more accurate at cricket bowling because its winters sadly!!
2 out of 4 goals achieved!!!    

PAINTING Reflection

Over the past few weeks for we have been practicing  painting.
Throughout this unit i have learnt to blend colours, paint a clean line,
and  paint straight and curved lines. I dont think i made the writing at the bottom of the pipe painting the right size, height and neatness.
I also think that i need to work on painting thick and thin lines correctly.
But apart from that im as sweet as maple syrup!!!!!!1

Today i just finished recreating Rene Magritte's painting called the pipe.
My copy was not the best i could have done. I dont tnink i gave it my 100%, but the practice activities really helped to make it better than it would have been without it.
What i could have done better is make the shape more curved and blend the colours better.
I enjoyed painting it but need to practice my painting skills.

IMPROVING on BASIC FACTS

HI, followers

Each week our teacher gives us a chance to practice our
basic facts, in order to get 100% in tests and a good time.
I really need to practice my 7&8 and am struggling to get under 5 minutes.
Apart from that I'm sure I'll get 100 out of 100 if I keep on practicing. 

Yesterday, we went to St Bridgid's it was a wet and joyful day!!!
The sausages were yummy, I enjoyed interacting with St Brigid's kids,
We were split into four groups and each group had one activity to do.
My group made a skilled banner and i learned how to make a chest.
It was an awesome day and we had a loud but fun ending with a whole school song.

On Wednesday we are going to catholic schools day at St Bridget's.
I expect....

-There will be lots of fun and games
-We will meet lots of new students.
-They will have PE equipment which we can use(hopefully)

 Last week we did a test on statistics about line graphs, bar graphs , averages and pie graphs. In the past few weeks we were reminded on the averages and learned how to write degrees and angles. So then it was time to see what we learned. Most of it was simple, part of what i got wrong was silly mistakes and i forgot how to do the pie graph stuff which was really important. Overall i think i could have done better but i wasn't bad.  Tollololololololoololololololololololol

Porirua pool

 Last week we had EOTC week, which is a week full of games and fun. My favourite part was going to Porirua pool.We went on this swirly Hydro slide and my friends and i played a game of water volleyball, it was awesome!!! Keep looking for new posts on my blog.
